Lake Oroville

Lake Oroville is a wonderful lake to waterski or bass fish or simply just hang out on the banks and enjoy. It's beautiful all year long. The Oroville Dam is the largest earth filled dam in the U.S.A. It is one mile across so it is perfect for a walk or a jog with views of the Sutter Buttes and the Sacramento Valley on a clear day. Many locals enjoy the morning or evening walks at the dam. The Lake Oroville Visitors Center sits nestled up on a hill above the dam. It has a interactive museum that really caters to school children.

It's a great family outing for the day or simply to take in the sights and do a little photographing. The Visitor Center also has a summer speaker series that is wonderfully entertaining and educational as well. Posted by Picasa

La De Da

There's a new little shoe boutique in my town. It's called La De Da....

La De Da is an adorable little shop painted with pink and black themes. The prices are reasonable ranging from $18-45 for some very adorable strappy sandals with gems or some low heeled boots.

The choices are wonderful and the service is impeccable, right down to the darling carrier bag I left the store with. I bought a lovely hairclip. It was $24.00....
